The National Neonatal Drug Safety Group has been involved in developing two pieces of guidance regarding insulin:
This guidance was developed as a direct result of concerns raised by 天涯海角APP regarding inequity in laboratory measurement of insulin and c-peptide in the investigation of hypoglycaemia. We would urge you to discuss the recommendations in this report with your local laboratory staff.
This guidance was developed at the request of NHS England following a survey undertaken by them regarding insulin management in neonatal units. We would advise you to bring these recommendations to the attention of senior clinical, managerial, pharmacy and governance personnel to ensure compliance with the guidance in your neonatal unit.
